Where are Templates stored?

First of all, this is a GREAT PLUGIN.  I have had a lot of success with http://www.sock-fetish.net, and I owe a lot of it to UUgallery.  My question is about where the gallery templates are stored.  The last time I upgraded wordpress I lost all of my templates (i now keep all of the template information in a separate excel file)

Will upgrading wordpress always cause your templates to vanish?  Or is there a safer better to do this and avoid the dataloss?

All templates are stored in /galleries/data/templates.txt file. So if you
are going to upgrade your blog, you just need to
backup whole /galleries/ folder and then your will be able to save your
previous templates.

Actually, this folder remains untouched after WP update so uugallery should
work good.
Nevertheless, you will need to copy again /wp-admin/ files from uugallery
distributive to your blog in order to make WP admin work with uugallery.
